Dead Reckoning

This thesis begins to look at the practice of mapping as a tool for exploring personal identity and how this might translate into incorporating such areas as environmental psychology, rigorous forms of research and analysis within the design process. This approach to design has the potential to create universal, experiential, human-centered and empathetic outcomes through examining both designers and end users as integral components in a system. Through this process I have acquired a comprehensive understanding on new methodologies to integrate self into my design practice.
